A neighbour ended up calling the police on a resident who didn't realise they had done anything wrong. The incident has left the resident furious with their next door neighbour, who appears to have crossed the line with their actions. It seemed touching the neighbour's property was enough to cause a problem.
But the items owned by the neighbour, the bins in this instance, had been left on the property of the resident. They were left in such an awkward spot that the resident apparently couldn't leave their home in their car. It's caused a controversy on the street, which led the anonymous resident to share their trouble.
The unnamed homeowner is hoping to find a solution to their neighbourhood trouble. They noted also that they had never spoken to the neighbour before this moment.
- 'My boyfriend issued odd request for family holiday and people say he doesn't trust me'
- 'New neighbours asked for my number and I was appalled by what they sent'
They took to Reddit and wrote: "Neighbour called cops on me for moving her trash can from blocking my driveway so I could back out.
"Previously a cop told her that she couldn’t block my driveway with her car so now she is purposely blocking my driveway with her trash cans
"In order to back out from my driveway today I had to physically move her trash can from being able to get out and not hit it.
"Next thing I know later on while I’m at Starbucks I see two police at my front door- no card or anything was left and I’m still in complete shock.
"I had to move her trash can in order to exit my driveway and I moved them to her curb due to the fact she filed a false trespass warning on me where the cop even said he knows I’ve never been on her property and she didn’t have any proof but anyone can do a trespass warning he said to someone."
Members of the public have since suggested the resident file their own report with police to clarify the problem.
One member of the forum wrote: "Cops at the door over a bin is unhinged. File your own paper trail, talk to code enforcement, and park her nonsense in writing."
Another added: "You should take pictures of her bins in front of your driveway next time and maybe call the cops on her if you want to be petty and file a trespass or whatever on her. She seems like a nasty neighbour who just likes to cause trouble for entertainment.
"Start documenting everything with pictures and notes of times and dates. This may be considered harassment if it continues as well so documentation is important in case you need it."
A third shared: "Video of her putting them in your driveway, 'don't see them' backing out because why are they in your driveway? Sue for damages. Nothing corrects bad behaviour like hitting their pocketbook."
